Guernsey County Fair Board to Host Summer Fest

Friday, July 26-Sunday, July 28 at the Guernsey County Fairgrounds

OLD WASHINGTON, OH – The Guernsey County Fair Board is pleased to announce that a new, family-friendly event will be held at the fairgrounds Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28. Summer Fest is the perfect weekend get-away for the entire family, featuring: camping, action-packed grandstand events, activities for kids and local concessions.

“Members of our community look forward to camping at the Guernsey County Fair each September. This year, the Senior Fair Board invites you to join in on the fun a little early by spending the weekend camping with friends and family at our first Summer Fest,” said Guernsey County Fair Board Member Travis Burris.

Summer Fest kicks off at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 25 with the fairgrounds open for camp. Camping packages will be sold at the gate for $120, which include: full electric and water hook up, and event admission for up to (5) family members. Interested participants are invited to attend Hillbilly Drag Racing in front of the grand stand at 6 p.m. Non-camper admission will be collected at the gate for $5, with ages 5 and under granted free admission The Senior Fair Board will host concessions for the evening.

On Saturday, children of all ages are invited to participate in archery during the afternoon hours. The fan-favorite Rough Truck Competition will be held in front of the grand stand at 7 p.m., with registration beginning at 6 p.m. for those interested in participating. The Old Washington Fire Department will be on-site serving BBQ chickens throughout the evening. Non-camper admission will be collected at the gate for $10, with ages 5 and under granted free admission.
